‘Spider-Man’ Director Sam Raimi’s Wife Gillian Greene Files for Divorce Citing Irreconcilable Differences

After more than thirty years of marriage, Hollywood director Sam Raimi and his wife Gillian Greene have filed for divorce. After 31 years of marriage, the director—best known for his work on “Spider-Man” and the most recent Marvel movie, ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’—is divorcing, according to TMZ. Many people are shocked at the news of the divorce, as the couple has been together since 1993 and there had been no indications of difficulty before.

According to reports, Hollywood filmmaker and producer Greene filed for divorce in Los Angeles. The couple, who have five children, cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce.

All of their children are now adults, so there will be no custody battle. There is no mention of a prenuptial agreement in the filing, so the division of assets and property remains to be determined.

In the meantime, Sam has been in the headlines lately because of reports that he may return to helm “Spider-Man 4,” which is reportedly in production. Several rumours were circulating that the filmmaker and Tobey Maguire were in talks for a fourth Spider-Man movie. When CBR questioned the director if the rumours were true, he responded, “Well, I haven’t heard about that yet, I did read that, but, I’m actually not working on it yet.”
