Taylor Swift makes brutal Kim Kardashian jibe in new Tortured Poets song
A direct shot at Kim? This could be the most unexpected twist in Taylor’s The Tortured Poets Department. Swift’s past feud with Kardashian looks to have reached a boiling point with the release of her 11th studio album. While fans were busy deciphering the meaning of the song and its connection to Joe Alwyn and Taylor’s ex-partners, a few picked out lines that suggested Taylor may have some old grudge to settle.
Swift announced a surprise 15-song anthology and extension of The Tortured Poets Department following the release of the album’s 16-track volume one. The album’s twenty-fourth track, ThanK, aIMee, has fans speculating that it says much about Kim. They were quick to draw notice to the song’s harsh lyrics, which poked fun at the Skims founder.
In one of the songs, the Cruel Summer singer sings, “There’s a bronze spray-tanned statue of you and a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school,” which is about a mean schoolgirl.
Taylor mentions Kim’s 10-year-old daughter North, who, like her mother, is active on TikTok, in the second part of thanK you aIMee. She sings, “And so I changed your name, and any real defining clues / And one day, your kid comes home singin’ a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.”
Many users reacted to this song. “I DID NOT HAVE TAYLOR SWIFT GAGGING KIM KARDASHIAN ON MY 2024 BINGO CARD OMFG?????” A user wrote on X. Another said, “Taylor Swift just made a diss track about kim kardashian in 2024.”
