Steve Buscemi joins the cast of ‘Wednesday season 2’
Netflix‘s Wednesday will have a new face in Season 2. As per Deadline, Steve Buscemi has joined the cast of the Jenna Ortega-led series in an undisclosed role.
Al Gough and Miles Millar, the creators of Smallville, wrote the coming-of-age comedy, which Tim Burton directed and produced. Other executive producers include Steve Stark (Toluca Pictures), Andrew Mittman (1.21 Entertainment), Kevin Miserocchi (Tee and Charles Addams Foundation), Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman (Glickmania), Gail Berman, Tommy Harper and Kevin Lafferty.
‘Wednesday’s’ Jenna Ortega, who plays the titular Addams Family scion navigating her teenage years at the sinister school, will return in the forthcoming season. The first season, which premiered in November 2022, concluded with Wednesday successfully investigating several horrible murders while simultaneously stopping an effort to destroy Nevermore and its students.
Aside from Jenna, the first-season cast features Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, and Jamie McShane, among others. The creators have yet to share anything about the second season’s story or release date.
Along with Thora Birch, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Naomi J. Ogawa, Joy Sunday, Percy Hynes White (The Gifted, Pretty Hard Cases), Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams and Catherine Zeta-Jones as matriarch Morticia Addams were also part of the Season 1 cast.
