Tom Holland’s ‘Romeo & Juliet’ to transfer to Broadway after tickets sell out in just few hours: Report

Tom Holland, best known for playing “Spider-Man” in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will soon be making a theatrical return with a new play titled ‘Romeo & Juliet’.

The Duke of York Theatre will feature the production, which debuted last week and stars Francesca Amewuda Rivers as Juliet, on May 23. But after its London run, the play is also anticipated to appear on Broadway due to huge demand.

After reports surfaced that the London production’s tickets sold out in a matter of hours, the Jamie Lloyd Company decided to think about bringing the show to Broadway. The play’s enormous success in London is said to have had an impact on the decision to bring it to the stage, however, this has not been confirmed officially.

According to The Mirror, director Jamie Lloyd’s minimalist adaptation of the classic book has received a lot of attention, due to Holland’s role as the the main character. Fans are excited to watch the celebrity showcase his acting skills on stage, making the play a highly awaited event. With tickets costing approximately £200, the play is likely to be successful.

‘Romeo & Juliet’ is scheduled to run in London until August 2024, but the Broadway production’s details have not yet been revealed by the production team.
