The Last Kingdom and Victoria star Adrian Schiller passes away at 60

Adrian Schiller, who portrayed Aethelhelm in Netflix’s historical series The Last Kingdom, passed away at the age of 60, according to Deadline.

Agent Amanda Evans confirmed his demise in a statement. “He has died far too soon, and we, his family and close friends are devastated by the loss.” She described his death as “sudden and unexpected.” She described him as “A prodigiously talented actor, he had just returned from Sydney, where he had been appearing in the Lehman Trilogy and was looking forward to continuing the international tour in San Francisco.”

Amanda Evans added, “Adrian enjoyed a varied and successful career across all media. Our deepest condolences go to his family, who ask for privacy at this most difficult of times,” according to Deadline.

Adrian Schiller is well recognized for his role as Mr Penge in the television series Victoria and for offering Otho’s voice in the Ridley Scott-directed HBO Max series Raised by Wolves.

The actor had other film appearances as well. In the 2017 live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, he portrayed Monsieur D’arque, and alongside Meryl Streep, he portrayed David Lloyd George in the 2015 film Suffragette. Other film credits include Bright Star from 2009 and The Danish Girl, which won an Oscar in 2015.
