Euphoria Season 3: Plot

Rue claims at the end of Season 2 that she remained sober for the remainder of the academic year, but we are aware that she is not always a trustworthy source. Although the precise narrative of the third season is yet unknown, it is certain that it will bring the main protagonists one step closer to graduation. In interviews, Zendaya has hinted that some of the characters this season may be reflecting on their life after graduation and making decisions. She also mentioned that she was curious to see how Rue’s sobriety journey will play out for the character and that it would appear “chaotic.”

Laurie is another unresolved issue from the second season. This eerily silent figure, played by Martha Kelly (Marriage Story), was first featured in the second season as a significant drug dealer for Fez (and subsequently Rue). Rue becomes terrified and attempts to steal to pay for the drugs after his mother smashes Laurie’s luggage, which contained a lot of cocaine. When Rue is unable to do so, Laurie gives her morphine and tries to hold her in order to use human trafficking as a means of collecting the debt. Even if Rue ultimately succeeds in getting away, it seems that Laurie isn’t quite done with her yet.

Euphoria Season 3: Release Date

The show’s makers haven’t released any official release dates, although production was meant to begin this year. Nonetheless, Francesca Orsi, HBO’s Drama Chief, did say in May of this year that fans shouldn’t anticipate the new season for up to two years. The writer’s strike, which began in early May 2023, Zendaya’s hectic production schedule while juggling other projects, and Sam Levinson’s most recent contentious television series, The Idol, starring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, are the main causes of this delay. It appears that Euphoria 2025 will not be getting a new season.
