Kim Kardashian’s inter-species romance is awakening a decade-long prophecy

Talks of robots and AI can be unsettling for some, but for others, they open up a world of exciting, yet uncharted possibilities. Kim Kardashian, known for stirring the pot with her bold moves, has once again caught the public’s attention—but this time, it’s with her very own robot companion.

Kardashian’s latest antics have reignited debates about the future of robotics and artificial intelligence. Some can’t help but compare her robot to Marvel’s Wanda Maximoff and Vision, while others are reflecting on a ten-year-old prediction about the rise of robot companions. Just how close are we to the future people envisioned back then?

Kim Kardashian and Her Tesla Robot

In a series of posts, Kardashian introduced her new Tesla robot to the world, sharing videos and photos of herself with the machine. In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), she introduced the robot, calling it “my new friend” and showing off some of its features, like waving hello and making a half-heart with her. On Instagram the next day, she shared more playful moments with the robot, including cuddling up with it in a Tesla Cybercab. One image showed the pair holding hands, which led many to draw parallels to the dynamic between Scarlet Witch and Vision in the MCU. Of course, one commenter humorously told her, “You will never be Wanda Maximoff!”

At this point, neither the Tesla Cybercab nor the robot, named Optimus, are available for purchase. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has said that Optimus is expected to be ready by 2026, and the Cybercab should be available by 2027. While Tesla’s robotic innovations are undeniably fascinating, Kardashian’s post also brought attention to another topic that has been on the radar for years: robot companions.

The “Prophecy” of Robot Companions

A tweet from 2016 resurfaced in light of Kardashian’s robot reveal. The tweet from The Sun Magazine predicted that by 2025, women would be having more sex with robots than men. While Optimus is not a sex robot, this tweet’s bold prediction about robotics and intimacy quickly gained traction following Kardashian’s post. But what many might not know is that this “prophecy” has already started to come true—and, unsurprisingly, men have been the first to embrace it.

The sex robot industry, which seemed far-fetched a decade ago, has made significant strides, and some companies have been offering robot dolls for men for a while. One of the biggest players in this field is Abyss Creations, known for creating the “RealDoll.” Initially, the company produced silicone dolls but expanded into making AI-powered robot dolls in 2017. Their first model, Harmony, was a milestone in the industry, and since then, they’ve launched several more models equipped with AI. These dolls cater to a growing demand for companionship, and they’re just one example of how the sex robot industry has evolved with AI technology.

While the idea of robot companions may still sound futuristic, it’s clear that technology is rapidly changing the way we think about relationships, intimacy, and even how we interact with machines. Whether we’re ready or not, the world of AI and robotics is already here—and with figures like Kim Kardashian leading the conversation, it’s bound to keep grabbing headlines.
