Tom Holland opens up about googling his girlfriend Zendaya
Tom Holland and Zendaya, affectionately known as “Tomdaya” by fans, have been notably private about their relationship, though Holland recently shared more about his protective nature toward Zendaya. On Samah Dada’s podcast *On The Menu*, he revealed that his last search was simply “Zendaya.” Since Holland isn’t on social media much, he occasionally turns to Google to check on her well-being. “Sometimes it’s just an anxiety thing,” he shared, adding that he feels reassured after a quick news search shows she’s safe.
The couple met in 2017 on the set of *Spider-Man* and officially began dating in 2021. Their bond has since grown despite their demanding schedules, and they’ve done well to keep their relationship out of the limelight. In a *Hollywood Reporter* interview, Holland emphasized that their romance is sacred, and Zendaya echoed this in *Elle*, explaining that while parts of their lives will naturally be public, their relationship is something they choose to keep private.
Recently, Tomdaya trended on social media after a clip circulated showing Holland shielding Zendaya from paparazzi and fans during the launch event for his non-alcoholic beer brand. And Zendaya had her own affectionate words for Holland’s “rizz” (charisma) in a February 2024 *Buzzfeed* interview, saying, “Someone who has beautiful charisma, not on the *Dune* cast but who I know personally, is Mr. Tom Holland.”
The couple is set to reunite on screen for *Spider-Man 4*, scheduled for a 2026 release. In a *Rich Roll* podcast interview, Holland shared that he and Zendaya read the script together, even getting so excited that they “bounced around the living room.” Despite their celebrity status, Tomdaya remains dedicated to keeping their relationship low-key and genuine.
