Kamala Harris just dropped her glowing health records and dared Donald Trump to do the same

Kamala Harris has taken another shot at her presidential opponent, Donald Trump, this time targeting his refusal to share his health records. During a recent rally in Greenville, North Carolina, Harris highlighted her own medical records, contrasting them with Trump’s lack of transparency.

Harris’s Health Report

Harris shared a detailed report from her physician, Joshua Simmons, which stated that she has “the physical and mental resilience to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.” Aside from some allergies and a family history of colon cancer, the report declared Harris to be “in excellent health.” It praised her for maintaining a “healthy, active lifestyle,” a “very healthy diet,” and drinking “only on occasion and in moderation.”

Harris’s supporters likely already know about her balanced diet and love for good food, and they may remember her as an avid jogger. She famously completed a run right before taking the now-famous phone call with Joe Biden after his 2020 election win.

Harris’s Critique of Trump

“Today I release my medical records as has, I believe, every candidate for president of the United States,” Harris remarked at the rally, “except Donald Trump in this election cycle.”

Her jab at Trump is especially relevant considering his well-documented love for fast food. He hasn’t provided a detailed health report in years, instead opting for vague letters from his personal doctor. In November, his doctor claimed he was in “excellent health,” but without the specifics that Harris received from her physician.

The last substantial health report we got on Trump was back in 2017, when a more thorough examination revealed he had high cholesterol, was overweight, and had rosacea, a benign skin condition. It seems that all his golfing hasn’t done much to improve those issues, especially after years of indulging in fast food.

Call for Transparency

In response to Harris’s comments, the Trump campaign pointed to those vague letters as proof that he has released his medical history. However, many medical professionals disagree. Recently, over 230 doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals urged Trump to release his medical records, emphasizing the need for transparency about his health, especially considering his age.

This letter was organized by a group called Doctors for Harris and garnered 238 signatures. They raised concerns that, if elected, Trump would be the oldest president in history by the end of his term.

More Targets in Harris’s Speech

Harris didn’t stop at Trump’s health records; she also criticized him for backing out of a 60 Minutes interview and for spreading false claims about the response to Hurricane Helene.

If this presidential race is about stamina, it’s clear who’s the better runner—and it’s not the guy who struggles to drink water or goes off on strange tangents about sharks, batteries, and Hannibal Lecter. That said, I can agree with Trump on one thing: there’s nothing quite like enjoying a well-earned Big Mac!
