The 44-year-old model, known for her years as a top Victoria’s Secret Angel, is six months pregnant with her third child, her first with her boyfriend and Jiu-Jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, 37. Close friends shared the happy news with People, adding that the couple is excited to start this new chapter and are focused on building a peaceful, loving environment for their growing family.

Though at six months her bump would typically be noticeable, Giselle stayed low-key in loose clothing and strategically placed items. On October 11, she was spotted holding a large water bottle near her stomach, and the next day, after a Pilates class in Miami Beach, she wore an oversized sweater and carried a big tote bag. In the days leading up to the news, she seemed to favor cozy sweaters and large bags, clearly taking extra steps to keep her pregnancy a surprise.

Fans also noted her absence from the Victoria’s Secret show on October 15, where many former Angels like Adriana Lima and Tyra Banks made a comeback. Though Giselle has expressed a desire to step back from the runway, her absence may also have been due to her pregnancy.

Bündchen has kept her social media feeds focused on professional or throwback photos, steering clear of new images that might reveal her bump. Even in a recent video promoting a health supplement, she filmed herself only from the shoulders up, keeping her pregnancy under wraps for a little longer.

Giselle and Joaquim’s relationship began after they met through her son’s jiu-jitsu training in 2021. Though romance rumors swirled in late 2022 when Joaquim joined her and her kids on a trip to Costa Rica, she clarified that he was just her children’s instructor. However, in an interview with Robin Roberts after her October 2022 divorce from Tom Brady, she hinted that she might be open to new love, saying, “Life is full of surprises.”

Already a mother to Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with Brady, Giselle had previously shared her wish for a large family, expressing her love for children in a 2009 interview.
