Strands is the New York Times’ newest daily puzzle—a more challenging twist on a classic word search that requires sharp observation to complete.
Like with Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, sometimes Strands can be tough. If you need a little help, don’t worry! We’ve got today’s answers ready for you below.
How to Play Strands
The objective of each Strands puzzle is to locate “theme words” hidden within a grid of letters. You can form words by dragging or tapping to select letters; double-tap the last letter to confirm. If a word matches the theme, it’ll be highlighted in blue and become unselectable.
Hints Along the Way
If you find a word that isn’t part of the theme, keep going—it’ll still be helpful! For every three non-theme words of four letters or more, you’ll unlock a hint that reveals letters of one of the theme words, which you’ll then unscramble.
A Few Things to Remember
Each letter in the grid will only be used once, with no overlapping. There’s also a unique “spangram”—a special word related to the puzzle’s theme that touches two opposite sides of the board and will be highlighted in yellow once found.
