Billie Eilish opens up about her physical pain!

After recently opening up about her mental health challenges, Billie Eilish is now sharing her thoughts on her physical fitness, revealing in a recent interview that she feels like she’s in a constant battle with her body. In the November cover story for Vogue, the 22-year-old singer discussed her ongoing struggles with injuries from performing and her hypermobility, a condition where her joints stretch beyond normal limits.

Eilish candidly shared, “I’ve basically been in pain since I was 9,” recalling how she often heard from others that her pain would only worsen as she got older. She expressed frustration at those comments, feeling “so furious” at the idea that her suffering was inevitable.

The pressure of performing for large audiences has also left her feeling isolated at times. Eilish explained, “I’ve had some really dark times on tour.” She often felt like her touring experience was just a temporary phase that would soon end, saying, “I was kind of living like it was temporary. Like, yeah, I’m touring for now, and it’s kind of unpleasant… It’ll be over soon. And the truth is, it’s the rest of my life.”

Realizing this, Eilish is actively working on making her experiences more enjoyable. “I just was very lonely for many years, and I’m not interested in that anymore. I want to enjoy the show as well as my days,” she stated.

Previously, in an April 2024 interview with Rolling Stone, Eilish spoke about her battles with depression. She described herself as a generally happy person who still managed to find joy and laughter, even while dealing with deep sadness. However, a turning point came when she recognized that she hadn’t felt truly happy in seven years. Despite her impressive achievements at such a young age, she realized that she had been living under the illusion of happiness, disconnected from her true feelings.

Eilish mentioned that she has been trying to reconnect with her 2019 self, which she described as “the best time” of her life. Her third album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, has helped her feel more in touch with her younger self. She expressed a sense of grief for that version of herself, lamenting that she felt overwhelmed by the pressures of the world and the media, not remembering when her carefree spirit faded away.

In her Vogue interview, Eilish also shared regrets about discussing her sexuality and dating life publicly and reiterated her support for Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
