The speculation started on May 10, when the hashtag “Lovestagram” trended online, implying a love relationship between the two based on shared photos from the same locations and time frames. Despite onlookers’ attempts to decode signs from their social media posts, the agency soon stated that Byeon Woo Seok and Jeon Si Su are not romantically involved.
Varo Entertainment, Byeon Woo Seok’s agency, denied rumours regarding the actor’s personal life on May 10, hours after they surfaced on the internet. The agency acknowledged that they were in the same places but with different groups of friends, emphasizing that Byeon Woo Seok and the model in the images were university friends. “The dating rumours are absolutely not true.” The label instead stated, “It’s true that they went to the same places, but they were with other friends.”
But the internet community wasn’t exactly convinced. Many said that the agency was fabricating things on purpose since Woo Seok is gaining popularity and they definitely didn’t want to face any negative backlash.
After fans began comparing the Instagram accounts of the two celebrities and noticed an odd trend, rumours about Byeon Woo Seok’s relationship with Jeo Ji Su surfaced. Netizens noted similarities in their trips, which included posing at the same resort, visiting the same art gallery, and even climbing the same route. Although the agency dismissed the rumours, many fans were still suspicious.
